TGIF: A Little R&R

I have felt like a little Mexican jumping bean this past week hopping from interview to interview. Let's hope it was all worth it, and I get hired! I still haven't heard back from any of the businesses, but I have a good feeling that all went well.

I wish I had more pictures for you all, but just 3 pictures seem to sum up my week pretty well. I have been going, going...gone! It's raining here at the moment (my favorite kind of day), so this is the perfect chance for me to recuperate and get some rest and relaxation!

Anywho. Tyler and I found a website that lets you register from any store online, so we set up an account this weekend and have been going to town. It is a blast and so convenient that we don't have to stick with just 3 stores. I've heard nothing but good things about myregistry.com, so if any of you are looking to register - this is the place!

And, you guys obviously know we love ice cream, so we went to Menchies for some froyo this week. I have to say that, out of all of the frozen yogurt places we've been to (and this is a lot), this was by far our favorite - the cleanest, yummiest and most appealing store! We can't wait to go back!

Hope you all are having a lovely start to the weekend. I'll be seeing you Monday!

This picture pretty much sums up Tyler and I to a tee. I'm the candy/tarty freak, and Tyler looooooves him some chocolate.

And I love you all. Thanks for the support this week.

TGIF: Betsey Johnson

Happy Friday! Couldn't resist showing you guys my new Betsey Johnson bracelet/earrings duo I got for Christmas. It's ME in a nutshell! Hope everyone is recuperating after New Years and takes it easy this weekend. See you all Monday (ugh. I hate Mondays.)

TGIF: Bits of my week

1. Krispy Kreme donuts? In Christmas colors? Cannot resist.
2. Wrapping presents is even more enjoyable with a glass of red.
3. Got pulled over for not having a tag on my car. But I was prepared - had my receipt to show the cop that I purchased a new one and it's on its way!
4. New swimsuit slimdown cleanse from Dr. Oz - mix it all together and have a glass before EVERY meal, 3x a day.
5. Tyler wanted to be an elf at DQ (by the way, this is my fav fast food restaurant e.v.e.r)
6. Taking a walk at sunset.
7. BREAKFAST! My favorite meal of the day.
8. Monster sandwich. It was divine.
9. And I ate it all.

TGIF: Bits of My Week

1. Red lips (I don't do it often, but I think I like it!)  // 2. I've become an avid coffee drinker //
3. Christmas lights...why can't they stay up year round? // 4. Sushi. This would be my last meal. //
5. How do you wrap presents around kittens? // 6. Christmas concert at church // 7. Wrapped and ready! // 8. Marshmallow and Apple Christmas suckers from Fresh Market // 9. My new fav outfit.

TGIF: for your viewing pleasure

I thought this was clever. Antelopes with night vision goggles. HAHA!

♥ This commercial made me cry. Oh em gee. I'm pathetic.

And the Sonic commercials might be my favorite of all time. I see one on TV, and I laugh for like a bajillion minutes.

♥ Um. A pill that allows you to s**t glitter. Want sparkly stool? You can buy it for $425. Seems like a pain in the ass (no pun intended).

I love this idea for Christmas ornaments, and when Tyler and I get our own home, I want to do this!

A song I found. And love.

If celebrities were ordinary people. Haaaaaaaaa!

Ok. New favorite site in the whole world. Besides Pinterest (duh.) You can recommend (and find recommendations) on travel locations, activities, food. It's so cool, and you won't regret signing up.

Happy Friday :) What are your weekend plans? Tyler and I made a late night ice cream run to Baskin Robbins last night. Ooh. So good. Haven't had it in a long time.

And Tyler's mom is having a Christmas party so that our two families can meet this weekend. So excited! Only 324 more days til we tie the knot! (...Jeez. I shouldn't have counted down. That's a long time.)

Hope you have something fun to celebrate this weekend, whatever that may be!

Ps. What's your favorite Baskin Robbins ice cream flavor? How many are there, anyway?
Pss. Please tell me you watch Honey Boo Boo.

TGIF: Our Honeymoon Plans!

I can't wait for the day when I call myself "Mrs Weir". It seems unreal to think about. It's like changing the identity that you've known your whole life. In some way, it's almost like having a second chance to be someone else. I think that sounds like a wonderful adventure waiting to happen. But I have to admit...i'm almost just as excited about the trip that follows. Our honeymoon in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

We'll be there for 5 days and 4 nights, but do consider that we are driving, not flying, to Wyoming. We chose this for a number of reasons.

1. We are not 25 years of age, and that means we can't rent a car. We want to be able to drive around Jackson to see the Tetons and the wonderful mountain life that comes with it!
2. I am highly scared of flying. My first ride on an airplane was in 6th grade, and I sobbed. It is the one way I don't want to die. Luckily, i'm not crazy, and my father-in-law agrees with me.
3. Stuffing the car with junk food, cranking up the stereo and making detours just sounds fun doesn't it?

While we've narrowed down the general areas to visit, I would love any recommendations you can offer us! Especially towns to stop in along the way.

We followed the weather last month around the day we plan on arriving in Jackson Hole next year and it actually snowed there! In October! The low was 14F! But I guess that's mountain life. I don't think us Jacksonians know what that is like. We are hoping for snow next year! We've already bought a few clothing items since now is the time to buy them. We still need gloves, scarves, hats and sweaters!

What is your type of dream land? Swamps? The beach? The desert? We love mountains. We would move in a heart beat if we could! The day I met Tyler, he's always told me about his trip to Jackson Hole he took with his family when he was young - the winding mountain roads, the view of the Tetons. Ever since, it has made me want to visit. I'm glad I will finally be able to say I've seen Jackson Hole!

We thought about going somewhere exotic, but Tyler and I decided to stay in the states. We are snowbirds at heart, so give us a hot tub, freezing temperatures and a hot cup of coffee and you could say we are set!

Wanna see something cool? View the live cam of jackson hole right now!

And here is our (tentative) route:

TGIF: Picnic

My family and I recently went on a picnic to watch Steel Magnolia play at Livingston. Who can resist this weather we're having!?

I thought I'd share with all of you what our picnic basket was comprised of. Maybe it will inspire you to go on one yourself!

I challenge you to put aside all electronics, go for a brisk walk, stuff your bellies and enjoy a picnic with the ones you love most. After all, we're never promised tomorrow!

Happy Friday :)

Ps. Coming Monday: Halloween Party

TGIF

Tyler recently shared with me something I did not realize (perhaps because I wasn't aware that anything was about to happen).

The night we got engaged, his fortune cookie read:

Coincidence?

Totally framing this.

Happy Friday :)
