Simple Is Key - Denim on Denim

One of my favorite outfits on the honeymoon was this denim on denim look. Get the same vibe by following the steps below!

Piece of cake ;)

Honeymoon Destination - Jackson, Wyoming

Today we are leaving for our honeymoon to Jackson, Wyoming. We'll be there all this week :) We've been following the forecast for the past month, and let's just say that 15 degrees is the norm for this time of year. Thank goodness I bought a heavy duty Patagonia (complete with fur collar) for the trip! Lots of snow fights are to be had!

Today will be filled with airport food and mile high cocktails (I have a fear of flights, so I am forcing Tyler to load me up with some liquid courage on the plane!) I am leaving you with my first outfit of the trip - tomboy style. I stole Tyler's JCrew tie, and am throwing on the heels to keep it feminine with an edge. Tyler's first reaction, "you're dressing up to get on a plane?" Yes. Yes I am.

In the mean time, follow our journey on instagram (@kaylynweir). Things should get interesting!

Ooh La La: Honeymoon Lingerie

My mom and I recently stopped by Victoria's Secret to pick up my and my sister's annual Christmas pajamas. This is a tradition my parents started for our family, and I plan on doing the same when I have my children. Besides, who doesn't want to wake up on Christmas day opening presents in fabulous new pj's!? You can count me in.

While shopping, mom mentioned looking at lingerie for my honeymoon next year. If any of you know my relationship with my mother, this is not an awkward thing. We have a very open and honest relationship. It is something I've always cherished, and it really made growing up easy because I could talk to her about anything and everything.

So, we began pulling frilly, sheer baby doll slips from the racks. Let me tell you this much, it was way more fun than I expected! I've never worn lingerie before, but I can see myself totally diggin' it for when Tyler and I are married.

Also, I was not born with any boobs whatsoever. My bra size (as you can see, I don't hold back on this blog) is a 34 A. Little buds. But...I was born with some junk in the trunk, so I try to find the best lingerie that will flatter my assets. Is this TMI?

Although we left the store without buying anything, I'm almost glad because that means we get to continue shopping for more lingerie to come! Yippee skippy!

My favorite in the store. The back hung low and it was so silky, soft!

What about you - did you wear lingerie on your honeymoon?

TGIF: Our Honeymoon Plans!

I can't wait for the day when I call myself "Mrs Weir". It seems unreal to think about. It's like changing the identity that you've known your whole life. In some way, it's almost like having a second chance to be someone else. I think that sounds like a wonderful adventure waiting to happen. But I have to admit...i'm almost just as excited about the trip that follows. Our honeymoon in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

We'll be there for 5 days and 4 nights, but do consider that we are driving, not flying, to Wyoming. We chose this for a number of reasons.

1. We are not 25 years of age, and that means we can't rent a car. We want to be able to drive around Jackson to see the Tetons and the wonderful mountain life that comes with it!
2. I am highly scared of flying. My first ride on an airplane was in 6th grade, and I sobbed. It is the one way I don't want to die. Luckily, i'm not crazy, and my father-in-law agrees with me.
3. Stuffing the car with junk food, cranking up the stereo and making detours just sounds fun doesn't it?

While we've narrowed down the general areas to visit, I would love any recommendations you can offer us! Especially towns to stop in along the way.

We followed the weather last month around the day we plan on arriving in Jackson Hole next year and it actually snowed there! In October! The low was 14F! But I guess that's mountain life. I don't think us Jacksonians know what that is like. We are hoping for snow next year! We've already bought a few clothing items since now is the time to buy them. We still need gloves, scarves, hats and sweaters!

What is your type of dream land? Swamps? The beach? The desert? We love mountains. We would move in a heart beat if we could! The day I met Tyler, he's always told me about his trip to Jackson Hole he took with his family when he was young - the winding mountain roads, the view of the Tetons. Ever since, it has made me want to visit. I'm glad I will finally be able to say I've seen Jackson Hole!

We thought about going somewhere exotic, but Tyler and I decided to stay in the states. We are snowbirds at heart, so give us a hot tub, freezing temperatures and a hot cup of coffee and you could say we are set!
