It was so. much. fun.
Tyler and I drove up to Oxford specifically to drop their boxes off to them. It was well worth the drive! (what guy would drive 4 hours all for some bridesmaid box?! I have the greatest fiance.)
Here's the lineup of my girls: this picture was put in their boxes so that everyone could match a face to a name.
So lucky to have 7 amazing women to stand by my side. They are now apart of this blog as much as I am! I am so excited :) And, of course, they said YES! (we're missing 1 bridesmaids picture. She lives in Indianapolis!)
On the outside of the box, I had custom Krazy Straws made to add a touch of personalization.
I bought a handmade stamp from the sweetest woman in Germany. She even wrote me a handwritten thank you note. Great customer service!
I then went to Michaels and bought hot pink stamp pads and wrapped the box in fabric and tied with a bow.
The purpose of this was so that I could give the girls a general idea of who was in the wedding party, what our day would be like, what they might wear (it could change!) and what I expect of them. I wanted to answer as many questions as possible. Besides, how do you know you want to be a bridesmaid if you don't have all of the facts? Funny I say that, a lot of crucial information on here has changed, so don't believe everything you read! (more on this later this week)
Under the paper, there was a mini bottle of wine titled "now it's my turn to POP the question..." Labels were created here.
Followed by a card of me blowing bubble gum (POP!) in a shirt similar to what I had given them.
And you can't forget the ring POP!
Stuff it with some tinsel, and here's the sort-of final product (missing a few things)
The particular box above was for my Maid of Honor (my cousin and second sister), Taylor Williams. I made a book on Blurb of all of our childhood photos together and added a poem of why I wanted her to be my MOH.
The cover of the book was from the movie Bridesmaids. I Photoshopped every girls face onto the movie poster! We all look like bobble heads!
Originally, I had planned on writing out "will you be my bridesmaid" with candy, but it didn't take a very good picture. So I ate it. This may or may have not been intentional.
Hope you all are having a lovely week! I know I sure am!
dear kaylyn, that's so lovely to see what you've done with our little diamond stamps!
ReplyDeleteall the best to you and happy planning!
stine from "sonst noch was?"
