I found these bindi's online at TopShop (if you don't know what a bindi is, it's a decorative mark worn in the middle of the forehead by Indian women) and thought they were so wonderful in all of their color glory. They were the focal point of this festive shoot!

Bindi + Bohemian
Every once in a while when Tyler and I have a break from work and we feel like having a little fun, we have photo shoots in the back yard. Nothing extravagant. Just simple and beautiful photo shoots (usually filled with lots of color!)

This Weeks Photoshoot Makeup
I've had several of you ask what lipstick I've been wearing for this weeks photo shoot, and out of all the tubes of MAC lipstick I own, this is by far my favorite (by a landslide). If you haven't been following any makeup info up until this point, listen to this - it's TOO good!
My makeup artist, Heather, gave me a day time smoky eye but completed the look with a bold lip liner, lipstick and lip glass. Sometimes after a photo shoot, I leave with a lipstick OR a lip glass, but this time I left with all 3 because they all play such a special part in creating the perfect lip color.
I don't have the perfect picture to show you my lip color but believe me when I say it's SO summery and I cannot imagine this looking bad on ANYONE. Wear the gloss by itself for a simple lip or sport the high energy lip pencil to add a bright red. The pink lipstick makes it the perfect coral color. It's fantastic.
This is the closest pic I have that can slightly resemble the fantastic color that it is!

M.A.C. Indulge Fall 2013 Collection
I went to M.A.C. Cosmetics this past week to test out their new Indulge fall 2013 collection. It's no surprise that it surpassed my expectations with all of it's nude, gold and mauve tone goodness. Mac's got it going on!
For the photo shoots last week, Heather hooked me up with an emerald eye. It really made my hazel eyes POP, which I loved. If only I knew how to do my own eye shadow (insert confused emoji here).
So far, Heather has given me a smoky eye and nude lip, a soft eye and wine colored lip, and an emerald eye. I have to say that the emerald eye is my favorite!
I walked out with 2 nail polishes from the collection - screening room ( a dark teal color) and sinfully sweet (a sparkling champagne color). I'm very pleased and think both will go with my fall wardrobe wonderfully!
My eyeshadow: All that Glitters; Steamy; Eat, Love; and Uninterrupted.
Mac Lashes number 36;
Lipstick: By design; Liquer gloss

In My Makeup Bag
1) Bella Bamba Blush - truly the best blush I've ever used, and it looks great on any skin tone. My second recommendation for blush is Chanel #55 In Love.
2) OPI bubble bath, kiss me on my tulips - OPI is a classic! You can't beat their playful nail polish names like My Chihuahua bites or Not So Bora Bora-ing Pink. A second runner up for nail polish is Essie. They aren't too far behind!
3) Nars Jungle Red Lipstick - because every girl needs a fierce red tube of confidence. Rule of thumb: when wearing red lipstick, keep your eyes nude. When wearing nude lipstick, play your eyes up with a smokey eye...but never do both at once. You'll look like a clown!
4) Bobbi Brown foundation in natural tan. I love this foundation, but I wouldn't mind something a little less oily. Any recommendations?
5) Tarina Tarantino mascara - Ok. I admit. I bought the product for the tube, but it turns out that I just happen to love the mascara! Damn you, Tarina! You know how to win me over every time!
Not shown - Stila liquid eyeliner and Bobbi Brown Velvet Plum eye palette.
What makeup do you wear? I'd love to know!
