Artist Spotlight: My Favorite Bohemian Artists

Completely off the wall and boho/goth at it's FINEST, I love Jai's work because he isn't afraid of color and uses different techniques other than just canvas and paint. Look at those crosses on the wall!! DIE.

Megan's work is super cool to me because her paintings look marbleized and I think it brings such character and life to any room!

Ummm…Y'all know I have a parakeet. This parakeet painting is seriously the coolest thing. I would die to have it in my home!!!

Anyone that mixes real world with art is someone I want to know. I would probably have these in my home over any of the others just because I love the addition of culture it would add to my living room.

I mean…this girl just knows what she's doing. Look at this indian headdress!!! I want five in one space of all colors.

Land Trotting

Tyler and I have always dreamed of building a home on acreage. Although i've loved growing up around neighbors all of my  life, it would be nice to have privacy and tons of land we can run around like bohemians on. Recently, we've been looking at land around town. Some land has been farther out, some in school districts we're not too fond of, some in the perfect location that is too expensive. Finding the right land has proved difficult!

And, it might be the girl in me, but how do you look at land? It's not like looking at a house. It's just a bunch of trees...and shrubs...and weeds. That's it. Kinda hard to use my imagination and picture trees that won't be here, and a house that will be there. 

Plus, I came into contact with some spiders and a salamander (that i swear was a snake) while browsing through 18 acres the other day with Tyler. Ick. I'd rather view both from afar.

Not to mention that I find there to be power in numbers. If we're all alone in the woods and there was an emergency, who would be there to help? Whereas, a neighbor would be quick to act.
