2014 Blog Plans
Since I work from home, I've been begging Tyler for a place where I can store office supplies, feel inspired and get comfy. Seeing as though our bedroom is the brightest place in the apartment, we decided it was a smart idea "build" our office next to the bed. Oh, the joys of apartment living! I dream of an office where I have 500 square feet of bright space! Maybe in our next home...
As you can see, I totally painted all over the walls! Ha! My goal in these next few years is to travel more, so I drew travel quotes everywhere. I don't know how long the quotes will stay on the wall (i'm already thinking of painting over it) but it's definitely inspiring. For the office, I still need pillows for the chairs; a few rugs; cute office supplies; lamps; wall art, etc. So much to do!
I wanted to take a moment and thank you all for reading this blog. I get so much enjoyment out of sharing my life with you and following yours. What would we do without internet!?!? I don't even want to know.
I'm the type of gal who does her best work when goals are set. I've been thinking about where I want this blog to go, and the changes I want to make. Do any of you have "themed" days? For example, Monday is DIY, Tuesday is Recipes, etc. etc. etc. What are your thoughts on this? Pro's and Con's? I've been thinking of doing it to keep myself accountable, but sometimes I feel that I'll be forced to write about something that doesn't inspire me.
I can tell you that I am going to try very, very hard to blog every day. Now that the wedding is over and the planning has ceased, I feel that I have a lot of time to create more content, and that makes my heart happy. I'm going to start two new threads and repeat them every few weeks or so. & that is "Kaylyn Exposed" where I will share things about me that you don't know; and "New & Old" where I talk about things new and old in my life whether it be experiences, materialistic things, etc.
Are there any changes you wish to see on the blog? More DIY, less DIY, more fashion, less fashion, recipes, personal stuff??? Constructive criticism is always appreciated! I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Again, thanks for being a reader. I love you people.

Love you space and yes to blog goals!! They help you stay on track. I used to do specific days for specific topics but there were times when I didn't have a recipe (for example) and it would stress me out not to have a post. So I've strayed away from that a bit but I do like a bit of structure on a few days.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the response, Sarah!! I think i'll do exactly this: have 2 days where I have structure and the other 3 can be whatever?? This really helped. I appreciate it.
DeleteLove your blog kaylan! :) I think I most love your DIYs!
