Five Things I Love About September

Fall Magazines. I have a weakness, my friends. All year long, I look forward to the day when I can walk out of Barnes and Noble with 10 magazines in tow. And a Starbuck's cappuccino...because those two things scream fall :). Did I mention I save all of my fall magazines? I have some editions from 5 years ago. I love them that much.

Bonfires. Sure, you can have them in the summer, but it's just too hot to enjoy them to their full potential. I love when the temperature starts to drop, and family time is spent around a bonfire. There's nothing quite like it.

Apple pie. You've heard the phrase, "as American as apple pie." Just like many others, I consider apple pie to be the official dessert of America. Did you know it became one of the most popular pie fillings in early America? And the Pilgrims brought apple spurs with them to the New World? Dollop a scoop of vanilla on top and you're in for a treat!

Hayrides. I can't tell you the last time I took a hayride, but I can tell you that I want to take one this year! They're so cliche, but isn't that what makes them so much fun?!

Boots. I'm talking riding boots. Cowboy boots. Booties. You name it, I love them. Anything that results in bundling up to brace the cold weather outside I am all for! (Huge cold weather freak right here!)

What are your favorite things about September?
