Five Things I Love About August

I know what you're thinking...we only have 12 days left in August. Isn't it a little late in the month to dwell on the things we love about it? The more I thought about this month, the more i felt compelled to write a post about it. Lets take this time to reflect on what makes August so special!

Fashion trends: such as winter white; classic patterns like pinstripe, leopard and plaid;  over-the-knee boots, turtlenecks and shades of green just to name a few.

Scented candles: I'm a huge sucker for scented candles. I have the pumpkin spice (found at Walmart) in my house right now and 3 days later, it's just about burnt to the core!

Smore's: Hey, August is national smore's month! All of us grew up eating these. It's nice to feel like a kid again! What makes smore's even more nostalgic is roasting them around a campfire. There's just nothing quite like it (nothing quite like burning your marshmallows every.single.time)

College football: This is a chance for me to unabashedly slip in the phrase hotty toddy, go rebs! Nothing makes me more excited than tailgating, football games and mini food in all of its glorious forms.

School supplies: After graduating from college, I never thought I'd miss anything about school. For the most part, I was right. I don't miss the exams, studying and 8 A.M. classes. However, I do miss the cute notebooks I used to carry around. And...can I pack my lunch in those gold flecked paper bags? Why, oh why, do I work from home!?

What do YOU love about August?
