Today I'm introducing you to a few of the things i'm afraid of. No, I'm not paranoid and I don't have any phobias, but when I come into contact with these things, I tend to tense up just a wee bit.
Okay, a lot.
Sharks: Just the other day, I had a dream that I was in the ocean at night "running" from a shark. It was so creepy! I am not a fan!
Dark water: Water doesn't freak me out. In fact, I'm a pretty swell swimmer. But when I can't see my toes, then we have a problem. A huge problem. I will not swim in dark water!
Airplanes: The fact that I'm not in control freaks me out. The worst part about airplanes is when they land because the plane always jumps a little after it hits the pavement.
Alarms: I seriously can't set an alarm because I worry the whole night when it will go off. I'm a pretty light sleeper, so I never oversleep. Another thing about time- i'm always oddly on time. Like super early, 30 minutes before I have to be there type deal. Weird, I know.
Bikinis: I have no self confidence in bikinis. I love winter time because I don't have to worry about squeezing into a tiny piece of cloth and showing 90% of skin. It freaks me out. It's weird because I feel totally confident in clothes, but I feel really revealing in a bikini. Don't get me wrong, I'll wear one and go to the beach, but not after a knock down, drag out fight. Out of this whole list, this is probably the one thing I struggle with the most.
Merging lanes: I scream every time a lane merges into mine. I seriously think the car is going to hit me every time!
18 wheelers: I get so distracted by the big tires and how much space there is under the vehicle. I always think about how my car could end up underneath it.
Wasps: I got stung by 100's of wasps one time when I was little. Ever since, i'm petrified of them. Even if a fly buzzes in my ear, I think it's a wasp and run for the hills.
Loose hair: I'll admit this one is weird. Whenever I get out of the shower and have wet feet, I always have to stand on a dry towel. It grosses me out thinking of hair sticking to my wet feet, even if my floor is sparkly clean.
Open doors when I sleep: All doors have to be shut when I go to bed. I don't like the thought of not being able to see in the pitch black and someone creeping in without me knowing.
What are some things you're scared of? I really wanna know!
I HATE!!!!!!!!! sharks! Do you still like the beach, just not go in past your knees? That's me lol

Merging lanes. YES.
ReplyDeleteCute graphic!
I'm super afraid of silver-fish and ticks! I don't do well with open wounds either... But I'm getting so much better and gutsing up and taking it like a woman! We can handle anything if we put ourselves to it!

YES to sleeping with doors closed! I cannot sleep with it open - terrifying! I hate seeing the darkness!
ReplyDeleteI'm terrified of merging lanes too! And lots of other things driving-related, but I've finally conquered my fear of driving in a city! Great list.

18 Wheelers and Merging Lanes are the worst! And I have yet to ever be on a plane but I'm pretty sure that I'd want to panic.
ReplyDeleteOh wow. Merging lanes, 18 Wheelers (i swear they'll let anybody drive those things!), not just loose hair anything..i hate stuff sticking to my feet period, and i promise i thought i was the only one on the open doors thing. lol.
ReplyDeletedark water and semi trucks!!! yes and yes!
ReplyDeleteSharks and planes are two of my biggest fears. I hate them both!! If I could take a train or boat to anywhere in the world, I would do that than fly in a plane.
ReplyDeleteI hate merging too! This post is so fun.
ReplyDeletei couldn't agree more that alarms are THE worst thing on the planet. i have nightmares about them. i just don't trust myself enough to not use one. sucks.
