Christmas Party

Do you remember the Christmas party I told y'all about? The one where my family was going to meet Tyler's family? It was last Saturday, and we had the best time. Tyler's parents were awesome hosts and made yummy appetizers like coffee punch, tiger butter and oreo truffles. It was such an awesome night, and it's really cool to see two families that never knew each other become one, all because Tyler and I met.

The night started off at my favorite restaurant, Sombra Kitchen, with my family and grandparents (and Tyler, of course).

We then wobbled our way to Tyler's house where his grandparents were waiting for us.

  2. Glad everything went over well! It can be stressful having your in-laws meet the parents. Luckily both my husband's and my parents live nearby so they met each other after we'd been dating just a few months.

  3. Is your Grandmom related to Paula Deen?

All that food looks SO good! I might have to scrap the chicken I had planned for dinner and go out for Mexican!

    1. SO FUNNY you say this. She gets it all the time! Sometimes when we're out in public, people come up to her because they think she is Paula Deen! Sorry to ruin dinner plans! You can't beat mexican!

    1. Girl, if you're not in the mood for hot coffee in the morning, you must try coffee punch! I think the recipe might be on Pinterest! I know it has coffee (duh) chocolate milk and cool whip in it. Oh, and ice cream. My kind of drink!

  7. I was so scared for my parent's to meet my husband's parents. I have NO clue why I was so worried, my parents are pretty awesome and so are his! They met at his college graduation and then his parents had a crawfish boil after. It all went great and I love seeing how well everyone gets along - all because two people fell in love! (cheesy?) Seeing all of the extended family at the wedding together was even more fun!
